THE IMPACTS OF CLIMATE CHANGE ON VIETNAM TOURISM INDUSTRY

ABSTRACT
Climate change is one of the most significant challenges facing human beings in the 21st century. Climate change will seriously affect life, production and environment worldwide. The consequences of climate change affects negatively on the tourism in the country for the reason that Climate change would threat more than 2,000 miles of coastline which will lose land and as well as bring more frequent and severe typhoons, ,rising temperatures and changing rainfall patterns. More seriously, the cause of climate change also impacts on the country’s sustainable developing. Being aware of the serious problem of climate change toward tourism industry in Vietnam, this paper will analyze in depth this issue and give recommendations for the Vietnam government.
INTRODUCTION
Vietnam has a long coastline and the beaches of Vietnam are quite flat with crystal water, waves and wind are moderate, and there are no dangerous fish or any whirlpools. Moreover, there are many famous scenic, comfortable climates and particularly the diversity of marine life, etc. Hence, many international travelers often choose Vietnam as the destination for their marine tourism and eco-tourism associated with cultural understandings. Marine tourism in recent years has brought the significant foreign exchange to the country’s budget, contributing to the comprehensive development of the Vietnam economy, society, culture, creating million jobs for Vietnamse, and also promoting the image of Vietnam and the image of Vietnamese people to gain the acknowledgement of the world
