The importance of disposing of parts properly

Disposing of parts properly is essential in today’s Army for many reasons. The proper disposal for parts is a vital assignment within every task that we as UH60-l Blackhawks maintainers have. Parts that we work with are sometimes hard to come by due to the fact that they are rare. Many of the components that consist of a UH-60L Blackhawk are as well expensive as they are rare. What’s more is that the majority of the components and parts that we remove form a UH-60l Blackhawk are reparable, making this a significant fact that the proper disposal of parts and components should not be taken likely and should be of great importance. Parts and components that we as maintainers use an a daily basis are transported to us mostly by ground transport, but if the situation arises parts and components are brought to us via air craft. Every time us utilize a part or component that must be sent to us by means of air craft we put people life’s at great risk by doing so.
In addition these parts and components that we are using in order to repair the UH-60l’s we are in charge of repairing come to a great coast to the army’s finances. Further more the more the army has to pay the more me lose out on benefits from the army. This in hand turns into us maintainers not getting adequate tool with which to work with, thus prolonging and impeding maintenance production. This in turn results in the maintenance team not being able to complete the mission on time. In today’s army punctuality is key and imperative in the accurate completion of any mission placed upon us at any given time. Another significant fact to take into consideration is that the majority of parts and components are accounted for with the use of important documentation that must constantly be maintained in accurate order.
