The Journey Home Essay # 2 I decided to write about “God’s Plan for the State of Utah: A Revelation” because I have mixed feelings about it. The chapter starts out with Abbey riding his horse in the desert when he comes upon a strangely dressed man. The thing that Abbey does next perplexed me. He said that he hit his horse on the head with a lead pipe when it got out of line. I don’t know much about horses but I’m pretty sure there is a better method to show your horse who is boss than beating it. Then the strangely dressed man took off his shirt and had wings. All other animals live in harmony with nature but humans do not. We destroy whatever we think we need many times without thinking about the effects our actions have on the rest of nature. We also multiply at such a fast rate that before long the earth will not be able to sustain us. The angel then said that the dam was bad. When I think of dams most of the time I think about the good they do for the people, not the...
