Which holiday lasts a whole season? It's Christmas. There are many things I like about Christmas such as gifts, the food, and friends all in one long holiday. I think Christmas is a wonderful holiday because it lasts so long.
One of the things I like most about Christmas is all the food: the cakes, cookies, minced pies and other treats. My mom always make delicious cherry cookies. Each one has a cherry inside and frosting on top. They are made by rolling cookie dough around a cherry. Although cherry cookies are hard to make she always says they are worth it. Another thing is the Christmas cake me and my brothers and sister make with our dad. It has cherries and raisins and all sorts of other things. My brother Jacob loves making the frosting. We use marzipan to shape little trees, stars, and angels. It's so much fun. The marzipan tastes delicious too. One of Austin’s favorite things is the minced pies. It's like making a miniature pie. He makes the pie crust and put it on the bottom. Then he fills it with a special filling. He puts on the top and in the oven it goes when it comes out. Austin sprinkles on powdered sugar. I love eggnog cheesecake and eggnog pancakes. My family always puts eggnog in both. I love to eat all the kinds of chocolate, chocolate bells, chocolate santas, and white chocolate peppermint candies. Those are my favorite types of Christmas candy.
Spending time with family and friends is an important part of the Christmas season. I love it when Brandon, Stephanie, Hunter, Karlee, and Cooper come over. Although they're younger as well as older than me, it's still fun to hang out with them. I also love to talk to my grandma or play Crazy Eights. She's always fun to be around. My grandpa is also wonderful. He's always being silly. I love it when I see my Nanna and Pa Pa. They are from England and can't visit often. I love doing things with them.
