During the debate candidates Barrack Obama and John McCain spoke about the number one topic going on throughout the country, the falling economy. Obama is proposing to focus more on jobs in America, providing tax cuts for middle class families, help homeowners. Obama is emphasizing tax cuts and helping those out who are trying to survive. He has voted to raise taxes in the past for some of the affluent according to factcheck.org. McCain wants to become energy independent and find other sources of energy instead of giving our money to countries that we don’t even like. McCain also wants to cut down on spending with the budget and praises mayor Bloomberg and others for starting to cut with their cities.
Obama wants to after eight years of failed policy make tax cuts, get kids educated and able to afford to go to college, and get serious about tax cuts. He believes his running mate Biden would be a great running mate and able to do the job. McCains running mate understands autism and families with special needs, and is a role model to women according to McCain. McCain wants to build nuclear power plants for more energy instead of relying on other countries. Obama wants to help lower the costs of health insurance and is going to negotiate with drug companies for cheapest costs. He claims it will save the federal budget and help keep Americans healthy. For health with McCain he talks about obesity and the need for more health programs. Obama believes that in ten years we won’t have to depend on Middle Eastern oil. Obama wants to expand domestic product and look at offshore drilling. Car dealerships are closing because of the price of oil. During the debate they both emphasized that the drive for our economy is the oil prices and I believe that because the oil crisis it has led to economy problems, foreign problems for instance the terrorists of nine eleven were mainly from Saudi Arabia and now we are relying on these types...
