The Process of Make-Up Application
When you learn basic steps for applying makeup, you can easily advance to experimenting with different looks. There 11 major steps on applying full blown make up.
The first step is to start with sunscreen. A dewy, fresh complexion is beautiful and youthful. Starting with a clean face, apply sunscreen to your face. Rain or shine, a person should get in the habit of applying sunscreen every day. I use a tinted moisturizer with SPF Because I have dry skin, I apply moisturizer before my sunscreen. If you have oily skin, rinse face with warm water and pat dry before applying sunscreen.
The second step is applying concealer. Concealer or color corrector is a type of cosmetic that is used to mask dark circles, age spots, large pores, and other small blemishes visible on the skin. It is similar to foundation, but thicker and used to hide different pigments by blending the imperfection into the surrounding skin tone. It is normally applied after primer, after foundation and used on the face. Both concealer and foundation are typically used to make skin appear more uniform in color. A person can apply concealer with their ring finger to the spots that need it most (under the eye, in the hollow sockets on the inside of the eye, along the nose, on the chin). Blend in by patting in, never rubbing, the concealer. Some people like to use a concealer brush to apply concealer. Some people find it works better than their finger to get into the spots they need it most.
The third step in this process is applying foundation. People can apply a tinted moisturizer or foundation to their face making sure to blend along the jawline so they don't have a tell-tale line.
