Abstract
United Nations is led by a Secretary-General, which based on the recommendations of the United Nations Security Council and appointed during the General Assembly. This paper discusses the proper role of Secretary-General of United Nations and the required qualities and discipline that should fulfill the requirements of United Nations Charts and the United Nations Security Council.
History of United Nations And The Parts
The United Nations coined by United States President Franklin D. Roosevelt was first used in the Declaration by United Nations on 1 January 1942, during the Second World War, when representatives of 26 nations pledged their Governments to continue fighting together against the Axis Powers (History of United Nations, n.d.). United Nation is formed by the 193 members to discuss the issues of the world facing today, such as economic crisis, social policy, human rights, the immigration problem, culture and so forth. The most important objective of United Nations is to ensure that human rights observed and safeguarded.United Nations can take action on a broad range of issues, and provide a forum for its 193 Member States to express their views, through the General Assembly, the Security Council, the Economic and Social Council and other bodies and committees (United Nation System Chief Executives Board For Coordination, n.d.). The most important parts of United Nations is United Nations Security Council, which formed by the five permanent members which are Russia, China, United States, Britain, and France that responsible for controlling the policy of the world and making the recommendations candidates for the election Secretary-General.
