Chris Gardner who was Born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA, 1954,a poor family, grew up without his father. In order to get the chance of a better life, he joined the U.S. Navy. Has also been wandering, imprisonment, but has never given up his ideals - When a stockbroker, and the ultimate success. Movie "When happiness to knock on the door" is based on his autobiography of the same name, adapted by Will Smith Will Smith and small, the common interpretation.
Gardner was raised by his mother, a schoolteacher. He says he never knew his father while he was growing up. But his mother had a way of keeping him grounded when he dreamed of things like being a jazz trumpeter. His path to this extraordinary success took a series of extraordinary turns. Just 20 years ago, Gardner was homeless and living, on occasion, in a bathroom at a Bay Area Rapid Transit station in Oakland, Calif. Later he became a stockbroker and his dream came true. In 1987, with $10,000 in capital, Gardner started his own company in Chicago,operating at first from his home. His company is now an institutional brokerage firm with offices in Chicago’s financial district. He became very wealthy, and became a millionaire.But he is very merciful, to do a lot of charity, especially to help the development of education in South Africa
