To: Supervisory Team Re: Management Behavior We are very excited to announce that InterClean, Inc is about to merge with EnviroTech. Both companies are bringing together many years of experience, great talent, strengths, knowledge and diversity. I would like to take the time to discuss the importance of the type of behavior that manager’s exhibit. With the many changes that is about to take place, the company must also evaluate current and new positions. Positions will be filled based on job testing, successful completion of all required training, and interviews. We will not however, base any decisions on such things as age, sex, gender, and years on the job, etc. These issues will be evaluated and discussed in more detail through short training sessions. Following the training sessions, the information will also be distributed through email, all areas where employees are located. This is to help ensure thateveryone understands the seriousness of discrimination at all levels. All employees should understand that the company will provide training, establish an employee complaint and resolution system, all cases and decisions will be documented, and we will communicate openly and honestly with all employees. While we do encourage workplace diversity, we want to make sure some issues stay outside of the job. There are such issues as politics, religion, race, and sexual orientation that can take on a different aspect and cause problems within the environment. All managers should be sure these discussions do not surface and make their way into the work environment, even if they are joking. Some employees may decide to joke bout these issues, there are others that may consider it to be discrimination. This can be addressed through communication and training from the management staff.
