The Truman Show

The Truman Show

Truman Is Our Inner Child

The Truman Show is a definite example of how people of society want to escape their surroundings, find a new way of life, and seek true happiness in a person’s life. First of all, it is always seen that human beings can not handle the repetitive nature of their environment. For example, when human beings confine creatures to a certain margin, the creature often feels held back and the animal’s first instinct is to evade the premises. Even people have this problem, they feel restrained and do not appreciate the situation they are in and are driven to insanity. Another way that people set themselves free is to change the whole outlook on life that a human has. It is constantly seen that a divorce, a change of job, or a new home can act as a makeover to an individual’s existence. People always become tired with their boring and colorless life, and in turn they accomplish something unexpected for a change in scenery. Lastly it is commonly found that anyone needs some source of cheerfulness and enjoyment. Truman was feeling quite lonely in his life and something he attempted in his story was trying to achieve his true happiness with Sylvia. Therefore, no one should ever accept an opportunity if it does not prove to be pleasant to the individual, because it shall make a person’s life terrible. In conclusion, it was Truman’s inner child that showed humans to break free of their boundaries, begin a new way of life, and find a gratified acceptance in the individual’s day-to-day life.
