Abstract
Schizophrenia is a severe psychological disorder that has plagued scientist for centuries. In this paper will discuss the symptoms and treatment options for those diagnosed with schizophrenia. Symptoms of schizophrenia vary from person to person therefore treatment for each individual will vary. Though there is no cure for schizophrenia, those diagnosed with this psychological disorder should not be treated with antipsychotics alone.
Schizophrenia
Individuals suffer from ailments that vary in nature, and which have differing effects on their bodies. Every person who feels like there is something wrong with his or her health should take the initiative to visit a health care provider in the earliest time possible to receive the appropriate medication for the condition. Doctors too should be in a position to use varying intervention techniques to come up with the best solution for the problem. One of the health conditions that people suffer from is schizophrenia. The condition affects the brain, which makes it difficult for individuals to act normally (Torrey, 2013). The condition has other symptoms that may be detrimental to human health if a qualified professional gives no proper intervention in good time. Multiple intervention strategies help to manage schizophrenia quite effectively as opposed to using a single intervention method. The subsequent section explicates Schizophrenia as one of the conditions that adversely affect human beings.

The term ‘schizophrenia' originates from the Greek words "schizo" which means split and "phren" that refers to the mind (Burton, 2012).
