The world of communication
What is communication? Communication is an intentional, transactional and symbolical process with a purpose on managing or maintaining ones environment. In other words, communications is the act of exchanging words, thoughts, messages by signals or speeches and it is utilized mostly to relate with others. Besides, to have an effective communication there has to be a sender, a message and a recipient- if one of them is absent then there will not be a communication. On the other hand, the environment plays an important role while communication because it helps people (receivers) to understand the message that senders have sent. The communication can be divided in two: Verbal and nonverbal.
Have you ever asked yourself what will it happen if communication does not exist? Without communication our life would be not only a disaster it would be poor and boring as well.
Verbal communication is based on the interaction between people. This communication is transmitted by sounds, words, etc. and it has to be while you are having a conversation face to face. “Although all species communicate, human communication is notable for its precision and flexibility, a consequence of the uniquely human ability to use language” (Krauss). Dr. Sussman, a professor of managing, speak on why effective communication is important of the University of Louisville, said [The] language has been developed from basic sounds and gestures (Sussman). Language identifies us as people from other country with different culture, gender or social status. That is why people when come from other country the language is their barrier in order to get adapted. If sometimes exists misunderstanding between people who speak the same language, can you imagine how hard is to establish a conversation with someone who barely can speak in this case English? Well, I have experienced this the first time I came to this country because I neither could understand any world nor speak it....
