"What is this life if, full of care
We have no time to stand and stare
No time to turn at beauty's glance
And watch her feet, how they can dance
A poor life this is, full of care
We have no time to stand and stare"

This poem "LEISURE" is a reminder that amidst the hustle and bustle of our busy life we need to find time to be with nature and enjoy its varied beauty, and to cherish the little joys of life.
How many of us now ever spare a minute to glance at the clouds changing their shapes? Or sit in the moonlight for a while? Or keep a pot of water in the garden for the birds? There would be a selected few who would answer in affirmative. The sight of the full moon is though provoking and entertaining as watching the birds come to your house to drink water from the pot. Then there is the "never ending line" of flowers in the garden. But things have come to such a pass that small kids take the planetarium to be the original thing and the star-studded sky, just a facsimile copy. This is bound to happen when the kid has seen a planetarium first and not the starry night's sky.


In this age of gadgets- cellphones, tablets, laptops, ipods, playstation, people like to spend their leisure time engaged in all this technology.A vast majority of people walking down the street just aren't really there; they are physically there, but they all have the glazed look of mentally absent as they lose themselves in their private music or their (not-so-private) telephonic conversations or their text messages. In today's era,from the time we're born until we die we're kept busy with artificial stuff that isn't important. We all have a full plate with too many side dishes. We are too busy making a living that we forget making a life.
