Marcus aurelius was born on April, 26 121, And raised in a wealthy and politically prominent family. He was a roman emperor famous for many things, but mainly famous for philosophical writing, or in other words meditation. Marcus ruled during the era of the five good emperors and was considered one of them. But got power during troubled times. Marcus was such a good leader for many things one of them was because he had the most vowels of any Roman emperor in his name. He also had writing numerous books on philosophy and, history and expanding the Roman civilization to the greater reaches of the world. Marcus defended the Roman Empire against attacks from the north and east, He also built numerous structures, most notably the Antoine column and the temple of Antonius and Faustina. Marcus was Adopted by Emperor Antoninus Pius the chosen successor of the throne, in 138, and was given political positions under him. Marcus ended up marring his daughter, Annia Galaria Faustina. He played a major role in government under his father in law until he died. Marcus was notice by the emperor Hadrian at a very young age. Hadrian appointed him to the priesthood in 129 those were a couple of his early life facts. After all of those achievements Marcus was numbered # five in good emperor. Marcus ruled the vast empire from 161 to 180 AD. He was a very educated intelligent man he was also known for one of the greatest intellectual rulers in Western Civilization.
