Thoughts about Time Traveling

Recently I have had the pleasure to read the short story “The Sound of Thunder” by Ray Bradbury. This story takes place in the future during the year 2055. During that year time travel exists and is accessible to the public for the right amount of money. A company name Time Safari Incorporation offers time travel to game hunters to receive a life encounter only one can imagine; they specialize in prehistoric dinosaurs hunting! A game hunter name Eckels signs up for what he thought would be a great experience, however, the hunting trip unfortunately ended nothing less than a disaster with the sound of thunder! This short story is a good read, and I recommend it to anyone; in the meantime I want to express the thoughts that captured me throughout the entire story, and that is time travel itself. How cool would it be to time travel? Where would I go, or would I be scared to go back or forward in time, if so why or why not? This is what I am left thinking after reading “The Sound of Thunder”. In any case it must be dangerous with unexpected events like Mr. Eckels faced in the story. Personally, I wish I had the opportunity to time travel, like Mr. Eckels, I would go back and time in live in a moment I wish I could go back to. My agenda would be go back in time and play football again, fix and minimize mistakes I made for my football career and meet myself back in the present to finish out my refurbished life.
All my life I loved the game of football. When I was two years old my mother asked me what I wanted to be when I grow up and I replied “a football”; she laugh and said “no you want to be a football player”. When I made it to the third grade, I finally had the opportunity to play on a football time. I made the time with no problem, and I was proud to be a Hutchens Flacon!
