Installation Guide for ANSYS 12
A few easy steps to install ANSYS 12 on your computer Logon to ANSYS Customer Portal: http://www1.ansys.com/customer/ Download version 12 After downloading the image file, burn it on a DVD To install ANSYS v12 on your License Server (this MUST be done) Insert the DVD in your License server, the following frame will be shown: Please Note! This must be done directly on your license server and NOT from a client.
1. Press Install Required Prerequisites to install the required software. 2. A list of product that’s going to be installed shows up, just press ok 3. This will install the required software and if you don’t have any of them it will require a reboot. 4. You may get up an error message (Setup error) on .NET Framework, this should be ignored, the reason for this is that have a newer version on your computer.
To upgrade your license manager follow these steps (make sure you have your License key available). 5. Press Install ANSYS, inc. License manager. 6. Accept the license agreement, press next. 7. Choose platform, if your platform does not show up, you have the wrong installation file, start from the beginning and download another platform. 8. Press next a couple of time so the license manager will install. 9. Accept the default value and complete the installation.
