Summer is the season of the year to relax, let loose, and have fun. Every teenager anticipates and needs the summer months away from school. In the summer, stress levels drop, teenagers stop thinking, and they live life to the fullest. We all need the break to get away from school and its handcuffs limiting us to certain boundaries. I had a fantastic summer of ’13 because I played baseball, went on a vacation to Florida, and visited the lake with friends a lot.
Playing baseball has and always will make for a great summer. Even though our team together wasn’t very good we still had a lot of fun times. I played second base and batted leadoff almost every game of the summer. With good friends on my team like Jacob, Ross, and Mitchell, they help make the season better. Baseball is and always will be my favorite sport to play, and hopefully it gets better from here on out.
Another reason my summer was great, was that I went on a vacation to Florida with my family. My grandparents decided to take their five grandchildren on vacation to St. Augustine, Florida. I had a lot of fun with my grandparents because they’re young and cool to be around. We went to the beach every day which was amazing. My sisters and I had a thrilling and interesting time together in Florida. Although it wasn’t my favorite vacation I still had a lot of fun.
Lastly, a summer is not complete and exciting without going to the lake with friends. My friends Sydney and Becca both have houses on the lake so we hang out there a lot and swim during months of May through August. Also, my family bought a boat this past winter and we brought it to the lake a good amount of times this summer. We go fishing, tubing, skiing, and just boating with friends and family. It is a blast to be out on the lake with people you love to be around. The lake is one of the most entertaining places to be during the summer.
