At first think some child’s hiding place. Jem begins to think it might be Boo. They decide to leave a letter to thank person. Nathan R. fills in the knot hole. We think that Jem knows.
 Pants
Jem, Scout, Dill want to look in R. house. J. climbs on porch; tries to look in window. Shadow scares them and they run. Jem’s pants get caught. Goes back for them. Sewn/sewed roughly (like a boy, not a lady), folded across gate/fence. Like they knew he was coming back for them.
 Fire
Miss Maudie’s house. S and J in front of R. house – to be safe if their house catches on fire. Very cold. Shivering. When they return to their house, A. sees a blanket on Scout. They figure out that Boo has put the blanket around her shoulders.
 
Grandison
