{text:change} Tomorrow, when the war begins is the first story in the series of eight. The story is told In third person and is based on a girl named Ellie Linton, who quickly reigns power and takes control over the group. Each person has a unique story that is told throughout the series. When a group of eight teenagers go camping in the outback the small country town they live in was taken over, leaving everyone except them hostage. The kids after a while realize what has happened and start to hide from the invading people. Using the hidden ground where they camped as a base, the kids struggle there way standing up for there own free will and the lives of themselves and the friends around them. Throughout the story the eight kids that are lucky enough to be free have a heavy fight for survival, to not only keep there own lives, but the lives of there friends and family who were kept prisoners. They stand up strongly for there freedom and what they believe is unfair, The kids could have easily surrendered and given up to the incoming challenges, instead they stood together and fought for what they thought is right. The whole plot of a country being invaded comes into standing up for what they believe; in this case it is for the national pride and the army in which they are working for. By no means is war right or ethical, although for a soldier to truly stand up for what their country believes in and to put there life on the line to fight even while knowing the large possibility that at any second they could be killed. Persistence is a large part of this story, some of the plans that were made by the kids ran into a little trouble and in doing so, they kept persisting, instead of giving up they regrouped and came up with new and better ways to hurt the enemy and to try and save the people that are close to them.
