TQM Vs ISO Essay

TQM Vs. ISO in a Company

There are various ways that a company can choose to manage their business. The two ways that are most commonly found within a business is TQM and ISO. TQM is a management tool which stands for Total Quality Management. This system works on the fact that the employees participate in company programs on a regular basis, and that all managers are fully trained to help with tools and technologies frequently used. ISO is another management tool that can be used and that is the language that most company use. ISO (International Organization for Standardization) is the world's largest developer and publisher of International Standards. ISO is a non-governmental organization that forms a bridge between the public and private sectors.
These two different successful tools have different outputs. TQM Is used to find the best and maximum results possible and retrieve ways to make it possible. This is a management tool based on quality not quantity. This program requires no documentation to be used. ISO is a functional system that should be used to maintain records. It describes the functions and the actions that you need to have minimal standard of quality systems in place. This requires strict documentation.
The program TQM has been shown to give the most improvement within a company. The ISO system is not as strong and is generally used with the support of the TQM tool. Both tools are beneficial to the success and works amazingly combined. Both of them need to be understood completely to get the full benefit and best results.
Even though TQM is a great tool to use among managers to make everything run more smoothly, it is a process that will work even better with ISO to implement it. ISO is a program used to help with the management process. ISO requires the manager to be attentive while the TQM requires them to be more practical and easily used.
