Task description
This semester you will learn how to research, organise and write an academic Research Report. To complete this task successfully, you will need to demonstrate your competence in a wide range of skills including: conducting research, referencing, critical thinking, and use of accurate language.

The task:
Choose and describe a multinational company which operates in China. Select and define ONE of the following stakeholders (Stakeholder Y): shareholders, employees, suppliers, customers, or local communities. Even though it is not a stakeholder in its own right, you may also choose the environment. This will be your Introduction.
Use relevant academic literature relating to Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) to provide a background for CSR, and CSR in relation to your chosen stakeholder; then detail how your chosen company’s CSR policies and practices benefit (or fail) that stakeholder. This will be your Literature Review.
Conduct a survey to find out other students’ perceptions of your company’s CSR policies and activities in relation to your chosen stakeholder. This will form the basis for your Results and Discussion section.
Write a Research Report which presents your findings and provides recommendations to the company based on your findings.

Coursework title:
‘Student Perceptions of Company X’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) policies and activities with regard to Stakeholder Y.’

Core Task Requirements
To achieve Core Descriptor A (TF) you MUST:
Write about ONLY ONE stakeholder and ONLY ONE company
