Travelling essay

It is undeniable, that technology has become one of the key aspects of modern life. In this essay I will discuss to which extend communication and relationships are being influenced by technology, trying to explain which of them is altered most.
Humanity is far beyond the point when communication necessarily implemented talking face to face or writing snail mails. People now live in the age of such extremely handy and supreme inventions as satellite phones and internet. For example, no matter how far you live, you can use a mobile phone or Skype to chat with your relatives as if they were at arm’s length. Furthermore, technology is, undoubtedly, essential when speaking about disabled people. Special devices allow blind and deaf people to see and to hear better, thus they can communicate without restrictions.
Technology also affects relationships making them straightforward and intricate at the same time. On the one hand, technology simplifies communication, thus helping relationships to develop. For example, people can keep in touch with their mates even travelling in the remote areas. On the other hand, people tend to spend too much time with their virtual friends, which results in frictions and misunderstanding among family members. Despite these influences, positive and negative, people still prefer to built their relationships in real life: they make friends, get married, spend time together. The reason is that nothing can compare to being close to the beloved ones.
Taking into account the above mentioned issues, I believe that technology has considerably more impact on communication rather than relationships. In other words, people significantly rely on technology when communicating, but still prefer staying hand in hand with soul mates and family.
