1. Arguments the Child Labor Committee used to end child labors?
• The Child Labor Committee argued that child labored lowered wages for all workers. The Child Labor Committee sent investigators to gather evidence of children working in harsh conditions. Soon after the Committee pressured politicians to pass the Keating-Owen Act. This act prohibited the transportation across state lines of goods produced with child labor. Because of this act, nearly every state was affected by legislation that banned child labor.
