Eagle 1 April Eagle Mrs. Angeli C.P. English – 1st hour 4 December 2008 Reflection on Tuesday with Morrie After reading “Tuesday with Morrie” I felt the book had taught me a great deal of life and death not only that but even sorrow, pain, guilt, love, just complete emotion of everything. Its like a piece of my heart went out for that old man called Morrie, what I read and how he proceed life with so much gratitude having such a hard life that I myself can relate makes me so proud of who I am from this book about this man I know I can be more of a better person than I have been. I liked the quote, “The most important thing in life is to learn how to give out love and to let it come in,” the best because it says so much about what Morrie has gone through, what Mitch would face with Janine and what we, ourselves should realize. Morrie went through a lot in his life. Living a loveless childhood; having to put up with a father who couldn’t even look him in the eye and say “I love you,” didn’t make him heartless or cold. I learned not to take as much as I do for granted and quote from the book is “When you learn how to die, you learn how to live,” confuses yet doesn’t because this phrase that is used in the book says a lot because this man got to watch himself die from a rare disease and yet he was teaching himself how to die in peace.
