Immigration has been a major concern for many Americans. Especially now more than ever with a crumpling economy and unemployment at the highest in the decade. Some Americans view immigrants as the cause of all the country’s misfortune which is completely false. Although some Americans refuse to acknowledge the immigrant successfulness to America, most of the populace can say that America has benefited from immigrants. Immigrations will help bring us out of recession whether than bring us deeper into one. Immigration provides economic growth by providing the nation with low-cost laborers that is willing to work jobs that many native-born American’s avoid. Immigrants contributes to the economy at the local, and state level. Immigrants come to the United States to live the “American Dream”, to prosper in life, and to be able to support their family. Living in America is a blessing and some citizens take that for granted. Undocumented Latino workers should not be unappreciated because they contribute a lot to American businesses and society.
In the article, “ An Empirical Examination of Characteristics of Mexican Migrant to Metropolitan an Non-metropolitan Areas of the United States,” Fran L Farmer stated, “Seven to twenty million unauthorized migrants currently are residing in the United States”. Some people predict in the year 2020, Mexican immigrants will be the majority in United States will to control United States government, but do we actually think that is true? Mexican immigrants are not coming to the United states for that reason. Immigrants are willing risk there health and well being because they know that in the United States there’s much more opportunity than there native home for themselves and for there family.
