Cheating in life is bad but cheating in game is still debatable. Many gamers in the world object using cheats in game. For me, I do not have much time so I feel cheating is a way to simplify and shorten games while it is still enjoyable if you do not overuse.

It is true that using cheats will make the game too easy and remove some interesting parts. Typically, a "weapon cheat" makes players equipped to teeth and can easily blow up enemies. More worse is "God mode" which makes your characters invulnerable so you cannot be beaten. The worst is "level cheat" - you win the game without playing a minute! Besides, some tasks of the game will be omitted. "Item cheat" makes weapon collecting and upgrading obsolete, "skill cheat" remove training requirement. In some tactical games, in which, spotting enemies is the core interest, the "show all cheat" eats this enjoyment. There are many other cheats but they are all for indolent, mindless players. That is how "true" gamers say about cheats.

Yes, I am an indolent player. My priority is studying so I have little time for games. Cheats can save a lot of time while retain most interesting parts of the game. I have seen so many true gamers sitting for weeks to do repetitive task: training characters to attain higher skills or moving around extremely large maps to find rare items. I figure that everything happens too many times will deplete interest. So, I rather use cheats and jump to various exciting battles continuously. Someone finds that too simple and easy because you have superior, powerful items that makes battles less thrilling and too short. The fact is that true gamers, who do not use cheats, only lengthen the game and make it horribly simple. Training characters involves boring battles dealing with mediocre enemies, which you can defeat again and again. Finding items is just running and running.
