Vacation is not rest from school, but for me it is so much more. I am writing this essay to tell you about my most recent vacation trip to New Jersey.
When I first heard that we were going to the Garden State I must tell you that I wasn't very excited. The parts of New Jersey that I had previously seen didn't look very interesting or like an ideal vacation spot. I wrong, this would turn out to be one of the best vacations ever!
Everyone in the Ravula’s family had to go on vacation whether they liked it or not. Shranvi, Tanvi, Vibha, Sneha, my brother-in-law Vinay, and myself would all be there. We left on May 27th for a six-hour trip to what is known as Long Beach Island. When we arrived I unpacked, put on my bathing suit, and hurried to the ocean with my Older Sister. The surprising thing was that the sand was only 20 seconds away. When I got there my eyes lit up, the huge waves, bright sun, and food stands would be all I needed. I ran to the water with my bogey board and jumped in. That first ride was a blast and I couldn't get enough. But by afternoon I was so tired from getting nailed by the waves I fell asleep on my beach chair. A few hours later I woke up with a burning sensation that you only get from too much sun. Had I gotten burned? Yes, but this wouldn't stop me from having a good time.
For the next few days I woke badly burned but ready for some fun. We went mini-golfing, played tennis, went shopping, out to eat daily, bike-riding, rented jet skis, played volleyball, and kept busy basically. I was having a blast!
On the second to last day we traveled to Six Flags of New Jersey. This was my last "real" vacation day and I decided I would have a great time. I went on the roller coasters, to the water slides, and even took my little sister on the kiddy rides. After Six Flags we went to our cousin house we stayed in their house that night. We woke up and the next day we went to the ocean for the last time, packed up, and went home back to Texas.
