There are various aspects to the idea of management; however, these aspects are into four managerial topics. The four topics are planning, organizing, leading, and controlling. These categories allow managers to create value, organize effectiveness, monitor performance, develop innovative ideas, and drive for results. No one organization or manager can perform all of these functions on their own on a daily basis-unless they are the only one employed there. The four elements of management can be split into upper and lower tiers with responsibility and titles. The theory is that regardless of a person’s position or title, that person’s job will demand that they plan and control personnel and /or equipment, or they organize individuals and their assets. Let us evaluate planning first.
Planning is the outlining of important tasks such as sales projections and the development of those projects. First, planning consists of scheduling start and end times of employees. This scheduling involves designating employees to do certain jobs and use certain equipment to ensure that tasks are completed accurately and timely. Moreover, this type of planning consists of thinking ahead to ensure the proper numbers of employees is met and the scheduling is met as well. Managers must have a clear understanding of the goals to be set and the tasks –in order to reach those predetermined goals. Planning is essential-especially in certain areas of business like customer service. In this industry, the planner is responsible for monitoring calls for daily, weekly, and monthly reports. This information can be shared and evaluated for future goals to be set by the organization.
In business, one of the most important elements is organizing. This function of business is detrimental to the success of any organization. Proper organizing can simply make or break any company. Unfortunately, many organizations do not realize the importance or urgency of this business...
