Violent Video Games

       I enjoy playing video games just like every other male in the country but the question is, do I think video games make people violent ? Of course video games make people violent while playing a certain game (COD, Fallout 4, GTA V) but I’m really 75/100 on this situation. Sure there is an emotional connection and stereotypes in these games that conflict some people but that necessarily doesn't have an effect everywhere. I have three reasonings and one is why violent video games aren’t really affected in real life and two that are kind of effecting “real life” ; 1.Video games give people a way to get their aggresion out on the game so they don’t have to commit a crime. 2. Stereotypes can make a person feel like they are what they are “portraying” in the game, and 3. Children inherent characteristics of video games further support identification. People wants to escape the conflict in life to just live a fantasy lifestyle.
     
    Video games give people a way to get their aggression out. Knowingly, people actually get their anger out while playing games like Call of Duty or Grand Theft Auto, so they can release the tension they have going on in their live. It’s like a security blanket for most people, getting away from that bad place. In an article from the New York Amsterdam News they back up my argument in this quote “ Violent games bring down your stress, so if you get picked on in school, when you play violent video games it makes you feel good to beat up somebody else.” Violent Games relieves stress from the real world and gives a satisfaction for that person so they don’t commit an act of violence in the real world.
