Dear Bob Corker,
I am writing to you on behalf of an issue that I believe should be addressed and considered for voting in favor for, whenever the time comes. The legalization of marijuana, for both medicinal and recreational use, is the subject matter that I want to inform you about and aid in your decisions upon presentation in the senate. In consideration to the countless health benefits and safeness of the drug, the business revenue opportunities, and its alternatives in comparison to alcohol and tobacco, marijuana should be legalized by the state of Tennessee for both recreational and medicinal use. Marijuana receives a bad reputation from its history in this country and should be considered by everyone who has doubt. The many health benefits and safety of the drug are often over looked by the general population and especially those who hold political office in the United States. This is an issue to patients that use this drug and also to the ones who use it for recreational purposes because the lack of consideration and representation on the federal and state levels. Efforts have already been made to legalize marijuana, some being successful and some not, and I believe that the state of Tennessee should be no different. It is time to address this issue and I am hoping that the opinions of the people are expressed to congress for legalization.
