* To begin the assignment I went on yahoo.com to find out some sites that would include this type of information. I found three different websites that suited my particular taste in information and were quite easy to understand. The three websites are as follows: http://www.dividenddetective.com/, http://www.winninginvesting.com/, and lastly http://www.grahaminvestor.com/. The first website, “Dividenddetective.com caught my attention because the name alone tells me it investigates companies and their financial statements. This website shows stocks that are doing well and also stocks that aren’t doing so well. The website also shows monthly commentary from people like me describing the company’s financials as well as how good the web site describes them. Preferred stocks are an option that is available and this tells one what they need to know before they invest in steady income producers. There is a glossary included on this site for dividend stocks which certainly comes in handy for investors. It has an option for dividend ETF’s and monthly dividend payers with 388 stocks. I learned how to find and analyze MLP’s and also seen the directory of MLP’s on this page. It goes in a lot of depth with Master Limited Partnerships by showing the general partners and the MLP income tax considerations. I see the business development corps as an option; they are special purpose corporations that are paying 8% and higher dividend yields. The best thing about this page is that it has a dividend yield guide and a dividend death list or high risk dividend stocks.
