Mental health and illness

We all have mental health just like we all have physical health. Both can
become unwell.

Mental Health includes our emotional. Psychological and social wellbeing. It
affects how we think, feel, and act. It also determines how we handle stress,
relate to others, and make choices. Mental Health is important at every stage of
life, from childhood and adolescence through adulthood.

Mental illness is a treatable health issue, just like blood pressure, high
cholesterol or diabetes. As with any other illness, there are things a person can
do to make life better and manage the symptoms.

Studies have shown that mental disorders are commonly occurring and often
seriously impairing in many countries through out the world.
