Sociology is the study of human behavior in society and how it influences them. Sociology is also the study of social life, social change, and the social cause and effect of human behavior. Sociologists focus on human interactions, which would include how social relationships influence people's attitudes and how societies form and change Sociology is used as the ways in which the forms of social structure -- groups, organizations, communities, social categories like class, sex, age, or race, and social institutions like the family, marriage and religion affect human attitudes, actions, and opportunities.
Sociology focuses on a lot of sociological theories, sociological perspectives (the ability to see the societal patterns that influence individual and group life), and the sociological imagination (as the ability to see the impact of social forces on individuals' private and public lives). There are three main sociological perspectives. Symbolic Interactionism which uses of symbols Face-to-face interactions. Functionalism would be relationship between the parts of society and how aspects of society are adaptive. Conflict Theory is competition for scarce resources and how the elite control the poor and weak. Sociology is basically the study of human actions.
