What I see through my open window

I feel a freezing cold wind rush through my room then I hear a deafening scream. I awaken with a shock I put on my glasses my room was a mess it looked like a cyclone went through it .Any way I figured I would clean it up be for mum comes in if she sees this place she will explode first I decided to get some sun light in this rubbish dump I eventually stumble over to the curtain what I saw there right in front of me I will never forget.

There right in front of me I saw my very neighbourhood being ripped to shreds by a huge monster its name Hurricane Katrina. Then I realise its heading for our home I want to scream but no voice comes out I want to run but my legs refuse to move and then every thing goes black and I feel as if I am being flung from one end of the house to the other. Then I hear my mothers voice thank god I’m alive it was actually my dad that had thrown me in to the basement to safety. Eventually I get up to my feet my dad and I jam the safety doors together with two pool cues. After the hurricane had passed through our beautiful neighbourhood and turned it inside out we were bombarded with storm after storm for hours no one dared to go out side eventually after about four hours we heard a knock on the doors and a shout this is the search and rescue party is there any body in here my dad immediately flung both doors open four guys stood out side with shovels and all sorts of equipment they were full of mud but to us they looked like angels. When we got out we were left stunned, speechless we saw our once beautiful and elegant neighbourhood, which we were once proud of was torn to shreds every thing reduced to a huge heap of rubbish. Our house was like shredded paper nothing left to salvage. Once we looked through our house or what was left of our house.
