When I gained something precious


There are so many wonderful things that I have gained that are precious to me. These would consist of having two beautiful daughters, buying my first car and buying my first home just to name a few. The most important one out everything that I gained was a love. Love is something a lot of people wish to have but never to find. Love is more than just a word. Love is a beautiful feeling that devours your mind, body and spirit. True unconditional love doesn’t just stay for the moment then leaves. Love is there through thick thin for better or worse.

I used a dating web site called Mate 1. I was exploring my options with several women on the computer and in my city at that the time. In July of 2008 at about 5p.m., I went in my bedroom to check the computer to see if I had any messages. I had a voluminous dark skinned woman to leave me a short detailed message wanting to get to know me. I automatically went straight to her profile to read it in full length. I even browsed a few of her photos to see if she sparked my interest. Although her clueless pictures I was not fully impressed to talk to her but I replied anyway. Before I could log out of the web site she replied. Well for the next four hours she and I chatted over the internet.


This first conversation was a very lively one. I talked about some many topics such as my current situations, where I am from, if we had kids, place of employment and where do I see myself in the next five years. In the mist of meeting her I had just gone through a traumatic time in my life: the loss of my mother. I was looking for a cool laid back friend to help me grieve at the time. For a few weeks we communicated through email. Around the middle of August we exchanged phone numbers. She and I developed a very strong friendship.
