Most research found that the four main reasons why consumer’s demand for organic foods has grown are because of concerns over health and nutrition, taste, fear over environmental stability, and recent availability. The growing concerns over earth’s stability and the environment in general, however, has become the most dominant cause of the rise in demand for organic products, specifically organic food. Whole Foods Market recognizes all of these demands for an organic lifestyle and strives to meet them in every aspect of their company; therefore, their business has become increasingly successful over the last thirty years. Whole Foods Market has been a major factor in the growth of the organic food industry because they made organic food easily available, they set the tone for new organic food markets to arise, and they continue to make their company more environmentally friendly in every aspect in order to enhance the stability of our earth’s resources.
