Why English department students cheat in exams
There are three main reasons because English department students cheat in exams, they don’t study enough how they can get a higher grade, so they’re afraid of falling or getting lower grader and because of poor administration of exams and lack of mechanisms to punish their deeds.
English department students spend their time mostly at internet, so they can not manage their time to study. They use many interesting things at internet (facebook,MSN,Gmail,You Tube…etc.) but that take them a lot of time. Many of them work, and after work they’re tired and for sure they would like after a hard working day to go in bed and fall asleep, so they do not have enough time to care for study. But, there exist and students whose lazy, they use their time for other things which are maybe more important for them than to study.
Some of students have a lack of confidence if they have studied enough, but in exams they saw that they are not prepared enough to do it well, or to do it for a higher grade. There are and those who are not being able to memorize everything as in teachers books, so they will probably use their own words to say or to describe the same thing but at deferent way, but maybe some of professors do not like that way so they think it’s better to cheat from the others and to write it like in books, whereas to write with their own words. The parents of students which do not have enough money to care about them and their studies, pressure them if they do not pass the exams they will probably stay at home but not to continue with studies, because of this reason they are afraid and they will try any way just to pass the exams, but the simplest way for that is to cheat.
