WHY IS LEARNING IMPORTANT TO YOU...
I believe learning is an integral part of life. Learning is necessary to do anything and is what makes us human. Learning can be both developmental and challenging and something I personally enjoy.
My decision to return to further education has been fuelled by my desire to learn. Learning to me, is an important step at this time in my life as I am looking for a new challenge and feel it lies in education. This would give me the opportunity to revisit some of the skills I developed in my secondary education and expand them in a university environment.
Learning, especially at a university level, is important to me to ensure that I have the correct and necessary skills required for entering into the social work profession. This is clearly an area that requires a certain skill set that would be needed in some of the delicate situations the occupation encounters alongside the administrative and legal requirements. I do not view learning as something that will start and end with university but will be a continuous process throughout my life both professional and personal.
I would like to think of myself as an open minded individual who seeks to constantly better myself and returning to education will give me the opportunity to further develop my career and myself and broaden my horizons in both meeting new people and undertaking new experiences. I would like to aim to achieve my full potential and believe learning is the key to this.
