Question 1: Why are you pursuing a graduate degree at this time in your life? Why is Westminster College’s Gore School of Business graduate program your preferred program?
There are three main reasons why I am pursuing a Masters in Business Administration Graduate Degree at this time in my life. First, I have quickly climbed the ladder in my current employment field that I am working in with Facilities Management. With just 6 and half years of post Graduate experience, I was chosen among 200 individuals that applied for the Director of Environmental Services and Laundry position at Saint Mark’s Hospital in Salt Lake City. And I feel that my work ethic and job history, including my current position at Saint Marks Hospital could qualify me for pursuing other positions of higher responsibility with either Saint Mark’s Hospital or within the MountainStar Division. But my lack of a graduate degree at a fine institution could be holding me back from a position of higher responsibility. I have wanted to apply for positions of further responsibility within the MountainStar Division, but for several of these positions it was strongly recommended that the candidate have a Masters Degree. With a Masters Degree this would further open up doors for me. The second reason I am pursuing a graduate degree is I would like to further expand my knowledge and talents in the Corporate World, and I believe a Masters in Business Administration would allow me to further increase and expand my knowledge. And last of all I want to pursue an M.B.A. because I want to further provide for my family, and I will be able to by receiving an M.B.A. from Westminster College.
