Why I Will say no to Alcohol, Drugs, and Tobacco
Alcohol, drugs, and tobacco are accidents waiting to happen. These things are harmful to the human body. More and more kids each year get addicted or try alcohol, drugs, and tobacco. Yet these kids who are trying these things have no idea what these drugs are doing to their body.
Doing drugs is a major issue we have in our world today. More and more people are getting hooked on drugs each and every day. A major percent of the people who have tried drugs, or are addicted to drugs come from high school students today. Sixty-six percent of high school students have tried drugs or are addicted to drugs today in this world. This percentage has gone up by seventeen percent since the year of two thousand and two. This is only the percent of high school students. They’re even middle school students on drugs or have at least tried drugs today. Thirty one percent of middle school students have tried drugs or are even already hooked on them. This percentage has gone up by twelve percent since the year of two thousand and two as well. The usage of drugs is a major cause in health problems, and even death.
Alcohol is one of the main causes of death today. The numbers of teenage kids consuming alcohol is getting outrageous. The percent of kids drinking alcohol that are under age is about eighty percent. One hundred and sixty five thousand people die each year from the usage of alcohol, and fifteen thousand people die each year from drinking and driving. Alcohol has killed six and half times the people over the years then every single drug combined have! Not only does alcohol cause this many deaths a year, but it also causes serious health issues for the human body. Alcohol poisoning is a serious sickness that many people today over look. From the numbers of deaths caused by alcohol each year, our nation should become more precautionary of these accidents, and numbers.
