Why I Chose Cornell Mba

I have been responsible for managing multiple accounts of international financial institutions based in Korea, as a consultant and a manager of projects involving the services of Business Continuity (BC) and Datacenter (DC). As I deal with executives of international investment banks on many projects, I have come to realize that they are mostly concerned with whether we have solutions in China or India. At present, however, our organization operates only in Korea. Thus, I aspire to establish a business in the fast growing economies of China and India, as a CEO/COO of a company specializing in BC and DC Business Services. This is my ultimate professional objective to attain within 10 years.
To attain this objective, I need to further advance my career not only as a senior manager in an organization but also as an entrepreneur with skills for bringing technology to innovative businesses. For this purpose, I have taken part-time courses at a business school in Seoul, which has helped me to advance my skills, but in a comparatively homogeneous group and for limited amounts of time after work. I am now eager to sharpen my skills by participating full-time in an MBA program. I want to study at a renowned business school for future managers with strength on technology, real estate and finance with top-level faculty and students from all over the world. I have chosen The Johnson School Accelerated MBA Program, because it would allow me to return to business after a year with a competitive profile.
I envisage developing my leadership ability by attending The Johnson School Accelerated MBA Program. I expect that the program will provide me with opportunities to learn challenges managers currently face, to work on business start-ups in technology, real estate related fields, and to interact with classmates from various industries all over the world.
