Favoritism is a much looked down upon process in the United States. No one cares for it. Why should it be allowed for certain types of immigrants? If favoritism was granted to only certain immigrants it would cause unnecessary havoc and issues regarding not being good enough. The United States in its present condition should be avoiding that at all costs. Our parents loved us equally as children, whether there was one child in the family, or many children. We in turn have done or are doing the same. It would be best for the United States to adopt this policy also.
I think that immigration should be on a first come first serve process. As children we are taught to be patient and wait our turn in line. If the said child cut or got out of line then he/she was returned to the end of the line and made to start over again. I think that immigration should be the same way.
There is no such thing as priority in my eyes. Everyone has a valid reason for wanting to migrate to the United States. I do not know of a single person who does not feel that their reasoning is less important than another person. Should certain countries be given priority over the other countries it can quite possibly start wars, cancel out peace treaties, and or alienate surrounding countries. Once again this would not be a brilliant move on the United States part. Our country is in a fragile position and if mistakes are made with how the immigration process is handled, it can cripple our nation.
