Women in Today's Society
Many people say that women have to be less powerful than men. Is that necessarily true? No, it is not. Women should be equal to men and should receive the same benefits and treatments as men. Women have come very far. Unfortunately even today in this society they are not exactly equal to men. In today’s society women are mostly eye candy. They lure in customers (I.e. commercials and cashiers in restaurants and diners). I personally think women should be equal to men and not on top of cars modeling or in a salon doing hair. Most women today have the potential and the knowledge to do the same jobs. One woman in my family that fits my view of women today is my mother. She started out as a cosmetologist in a salon because it was an easy job but in this economy that job cannot make ends meet. She is now studying to have a better paying job as a medical assistant. Only knowing the bare minimum of the English language she strives to get a better education and job so that she can have enough money to support me and my siblings. That is why she fits my view of women in today’s society, because she does not give up, no matter how hard things may get she sticks to her task until it is completed and perfect. So as I have stated before unfortunately women in today's society are not viewed the same and men,it is up to us to change that.
