Week One Individual Worksheet Experience Teamwork, Collaboration, and Conflict Resolution Soc/110 Work and Social Groups I work for the world’s largest pharmaceutical company. I am a current team player and subject matter expert within the Regulatory Affairs department that is responsible for the release of investigation drugs to our clinical investigators. We focus on best practices to meet both regulatory and company guidelines that are established to protect the patients in our clinical studies. Each person on this team brings uniqueness because we each have different backgrounds, education and strengths and weaknesses. These factors contribute to a well rounded team. We meet once a week on a telecom to discuss issues, concerns, process improvements, new information and much more. Today I am also a current volunteer in several social groups sponsored by my company: United Way, Women's Leadership Network and the Thames River Toastmaster club. Each year my organization rallies to raise money for the United Way of Southeastern Connecticut. I am a solicitor which requires me to attend yearly training and communicate to my colleagues throughout the organization describing the United Wayand why it is important to give back to the community. I am also a volunteer for the Women's Leadership Network. Their purpose is to provide a forum that promotes professional development and success for women leaders in my organization through networking, education and exchange of experience and learning. I am an officer for the Thames River Toastmaster club. The Thames River Toastmaster club provides an atmosphere for people who have a fear of public speaking or would like to polish up on their presentation skills.
