Is what happens in other parts of the world important to you? Some people would answer no because what happens in other parts of the world does not affect them. But really everything that happens in the world affects everyone not just the people that pertain to that region. There are several reasons why events in other parts of the world are important to be aware of, the three main reasons are because a lack of resources could start in another region, another country might be corrupted, and our country may become endangered.
1.One of the main reasons that we should know about events in other parts of the world is the possibility of a lack of resources. 2. For example the middle east is a huge supplier of gas. 3. If that supply ran out we would be in big trouble. 4. Vehicles that ran on gas would soon become useless and only the rich would afford to drive. 5. Another horrifying scenario would be a lack of water supply. 6. About 71% of the Earth is covered by water, of that, 97% of the world’s water is untreated ocean water, the remaining 3% is freshwater. Of which only almost 1% is available for use/consumption. The other 2% is trapped in glaciers/ice caps. 7. A shortage in water supply would affect everyone greatly and would be an extremely important thing to know about. 8. Conversely one might say that lack of resources have no importance. 9. A lack of resources in other parts of the world would not affect us only that part of the world. 10. If other countries decide not to trade goods with the United States it won’t matter. 11. As long as were good in our country then we are alright. 12. But actually if that were to happen the United States would be in huge trouble because of the fact that we trade and get so much of our supplies from other parts of the world. 13.
