Introduction of the religion

My name is Lorraine Rose. I interviewed Elaine Mullens for my report. Elaine’s choice of religion is Christianity. Elaine’s denotation is Pentecostal. She has been a member of her church for eighteen years. I interviewed Elaine in her home in a place called Inez; which is located in eastern Kentucky. I began my interview with the questions below.

Interview summary

I spent four hours with Elaine, in her home, for this interview. Below are the questions and the answers that I asked during the interview.

1. What is your religion? “Christianity; Pentecostal denotation” (Mullens, 2009).

2. What are the important holidays and traditions of this religion? “Passover (Easter Sunday). Easter is the resurrection of our Lord” (Mullens, 2009).

3. How has religion shaped your life? “Religion has shaped my life in a way that I fell that my life has meaning in it through God”. I feel that it has a role in shaping my education and I more respect for God and people who are in my life, and for the ones that aren’t in my life” (Mullens, 2009).

4. What are the challenges, if any, to practicing this particular religion? “The only challenges that I have found are obeying what I think that Gods...
