IMPORTANCE FOR THE HR DEPARTMENT TO ALIGN ITS
OBJECTIVE WITH THE ORGANIZATION’S GOALS
SYNOPSIS
Organizations has to adopt HR practices such as hiring right person for the job, facilitation of employees and keep remind them the vision of the organization for the purpose of achieving a competitive advantage.
DISCUSSION:
it is very important for the human resource department to align its objectives with the organizational goals because human resource department are in the organization for the welfare of the employees and for the purpose of facilitating employees of the organization because employees are the most important asset of any organization and if the employees are not satisfied with their job and if they are unrest mentally then its mean that they are not going to give the desire result and at the end organization has to suffer .
This century is the century of immense knowledge and information so HR functions has been changed.
40 years before now the organizations was in the industrial age and the theory of HR is that HR has the functions of hiring and firing employees and that HR has no link with the other departments of organizations such as finance marketing R&D etc.
The functions of HR department has been changed now a days from that of industrial age.
Due to availability of so many resources of gathering information and due to introduction of new techniques and procedure of evaluating and analyzing performances of workers within and organization the function of human resource department is change and now this department perform as a facilitator to their customer which are the employees.
Now human resource department is performing so many tasks such as job description, job evaluation, retention of employees, training of employees, recruitment, selection, orientation programs, rules and regulations, promotion and demotion policies, wages and compensation plans, transfers and firing.
