Zappos.com was founded in 1999, original idea was to create an online store with the absolute best selection in shoes in terms of brands, styles, colors, sizes and widths as well as the best service to the costumers. Over the past 15 years Zappos Inc. has been growing fast and in 2009 it was re structures into ten separate companies to have the flexibility to possibly sell everything one day. The main goal has always been to be the online business service leader.
The culture at zappos is at the heart of their success. If I have to briefly describe the culture at zappos family it would be a fun family spirit that embraces freedom, change, creativity, learning and honesty and it encourages the family members to be adventurous but determined and a s result of these they impress the customers through the service that they provide.
Zappos strong culture is based on these 10 core values of the company.
To create fun and a little weirdness as one the core values of the company , there is always something exciting happening in the company like parades, fun contests, themed courtyard events, ice cream trucks, live animals and so on.
