Dear Professor Hanson,

I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself to you, as well as outline some of my personal hobbies and goals for this course. My name is Anne Rinchiuso. I am a 28 year old mother to 2 beautiful children. My oldest daughter Yesmina is 9 and my youngest daughter Leah is 3, both of which are my world. In my spare time, I enjoy doing things with crafts, cooking, spending time outdoors, trying new hobbies, and relaxing with my family and friends. Further, I like to think of myself as a people person and a thrill seeker, which is why I believe I inspired to become an Emergency Medical Technician to begin with.
Since I am not sure where life may take me, or if I’ll always be physically able to proceed with my career as an EMT, I have enrolled in the Health Information Technology program with Indian Hills Community College. In addition, I have enrolled in this program to work towards my goal of one day working in the office field. The completion of this course will mark the completion of my second term in this program.
Through this course, I hope to strengthen my writing abilities so that I may apply these skills to my selected profession. While I am very optimistic about this class, I have been absent from school for approximately 10 years now and may find some difficulties excelling. In addition, during my high school years, English was one of my weakest areas; having said that, knowing my disadvantages coming into this course, I will be more certain to work twice as hard to ensure my success.
In top of my struggles in English, I have also discovered over the years that I am not the greatest speller or test taker. Thank goodness for spell check! The hardest obstacle...
