A Short History of Girls’ Generation
Girls' Generation is a nine-member South Korean girl group formed by SM Entertainment in 2007. The nine members are Taeyeon , Jessica, Sunny, Tiffany, Hyoyeon, Yuri, Sooyoung, Yoona, and Seohyun. Taeyeon is a leader and main vocal. She has also worked as DJ at “Chin Chin Radio” and appeared in reality-variety shows, as well as recording solo singles and playing musical “Midnight Sun”. Her nickname is a kid leader because of her height. Jessica is an American pop singer, dancer and musical actress “Legally Blonde”. Her nickname is an ice princess because of her characteristic. Sunny was DJ and part of reality show “Invincible Youth”. Also, she can sing folk song very well. Tiffany is an American singer and dancer. She was MC in Music Core. Also, she has many solo singles such as original sound track in Princess Ja Myung Go movie. Her nickname is Brighter than jewelry because of her eye’s smile. Hyoyeon is main dancer. She can dance Latin, Jazz, Tap, Ballet, Waving, Popping and Locking dance. So her nickname is dancing queen. Yuri is a singer-songwriter, actress, model, and dancer. She was co-MC with Tiffny and showed in “Invincible Youth” with Sunny. Her nickname is black pearl because of her skin color. SooYoung is a singer, actress, model, TV presenter, and radio DJ. Yoona is famous actress. She was a guest in reality show Family outing season 2. Seohyun is youngest. She sang a song in the official soundtrack of drama. Also, she is part of reality-variety show We Got Married joined with her virtual husband Jung Yong Hwa.
